Our strategic plan is taking shape. We are starting to develop a long-range vision for Congregation Beth Elohim — but we want to hear what you have to say. We are asking all of our members to fill out a questionnaire online. It should only take 5-7 minutes of your time. Whether you are deeply involved or barely engaged, a member of many years or recently joined, we want to hear what you think and what you hope for. In order to encourage participation, we are offering a prize of a $150 Visa Card. Click here to fill out the survey.

Also, we are having a Congregational meeting on March 14. We will discuss our vision and our programming. Please bring your ideas and your suggestions. It will be held in the Ballroom at CBE at 8:00 p.m. Thank you for helping CBE.

This fall, we began a regular mincha minyan (afternoon service) on Monday through Thursday afternoons from 2:30-2:50 p.m.

Regularly, between 10-15 members of our community and staff have been gathering together to pray, and to allow those who would like to fulfill the traditional obligation of saying Kaddish with ten people present.

You can read more about Rabbi Bachman’s experiences at our minyan in his blog, in this post from September and this update from December.

Our minyan is currently traditional/egalitarian—and if this is a new service for you, we are happy to help you learn how to participate!
