Volunteer at CBEThroughout the year, Congregation Beth Elohim offers many opportunities to volunteer, suitable for many different interests, schedules and talents. We encourage you to become an active member of our community. Following is a list of CBE’s committees and initiatives. Please contact Lauren Shenkman at (718) 768-3814, ext. 242 or LShenkman@cbebk.org if you are interested in getting involved in any of these areas. High Holy Day Ushering: As an usher, you fulfill a vital and critical role as our community welcomes the new year. Ushers welcome congregants as they enter; assist the elderly, the infirm, or others requiring assistance to their seats; and help maintain decorum. It is an honor to begin the year by giving your time to the community. Your smile and assistance as you greet your fellow congregants can mean a great deal as we greet the new year together. If you would like to take advantage of this volunteering opportunity, please call or email Executive Director Monika Hamburger at (718) 768-3814, ext. 204 or MHamburger@cbebk.org.
