Tots on the Move

Come learn and play with TOTS ON THE MOVE! Classes to experience and enjoy with your young child.

Registration is still open for many of our fall 2011 classes!

We are now accepting applications for Water Play for Tots, Terrific Twos (Mondays and Tuesdays 11:00 – 12:30, Thursdays and Fridays 11:00 – 12:30), Art for Tots, and Cooking for Tots. See below for more information!

List of Spring Classes (may be subject to change)

Water Play strives to give toddlers and preschoolers an early positive association with the water. Bubble blowing, arm and leg movements will be taught. Classes are conducted in our clean, temperature regulated pool with showers and locker room facilities adjacent to the pool. Adults must be in the water at all times with their children. All classes are facilitated by a water safety instructor.

$300 for CBE members/ $325 for non-members

Terrific Twos is a pre-nursery program specifically designed as an introduction to the experiences and routines of preschool. The class focus is on enabling children to work in small groups, negotiate transitions and make choices in a fully-equipped classroom. Separation is dealt with in a gradual manner. Adults leave the room when the child is ready but remain in the building.

9:15-10:45 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

Thursday and Friday

Tuition
$950 for CBE members/ $1,025 for non-members per semester

Art for Tots is an opportunity for your tot to explore and experiment with age-appropriate art materials. The focus of the class is being a member of a group and developing friendships. The emphasis will be in the process rather than the product.

Young chefs can mix, measure, and experience cooking and eating their yummy creations. The focus of the class is on being a member of a group and developing friendships, but mostly we promise food and fun!

Cooking for Tots Schedule

Wednesday
9:15-10:15 a.m. or 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Tuition
$300 for CBE members/ $325 for non-members

• Classes run in 13-week semesters.
• All fall registrants will be given priority when registering for the spring semester until January 5, 2012.
• Classes are designed for toddlers accompanied by their adult.
• All applications are prioritized by the date they are received, and classes are filled in accordance with the application date, and based on available space in the class.
• The Early Childhood Center reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient registration.

• Priority status is given to CBE members and siblings. CBE members must be in good standing in order to receive priority.

Our Drop-In Center is open to children ages birth through two years of age Tuesday through Friday, 9:15 a.m. -12:15 p.m., during the dates listed below. Parents, caregivers, and children come together to discover, learn and have fun! The Drop-In Center is held in our Social Hall, which becomes a large indoor play space with age-appropriate toys and activities. It is coordinated by two early childhood facilitators.
